YOUTH SAFETY COURSE - SAVE THE DATE
The club will be hosting a youth safety course for children ages 10-17 (as of the day of the class) and any adults who wish to participate. Free admission. It is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2025, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the DeRuyter Firehouse, 1663 Cortland Street. Stay tuned for registration instructions.

Youth 14 through 17 years old
May operate a snowmobile without adult or other supervision if they have completed a snowmobile safety training course recognized by the State of New York.
Youth 10 through 13 years old
May operate a snowmobile on lands upon which snowmobiling is allowed if they have completed a snowmobile safety training course recognized by the State of New York and are accompanied by (within 500 feet of) a person who is at least 18 years of age.
The Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will issue a snowmobile safety certificate to those who successfully complete this course. Youths who do not hold this certificate are subject to the same restrictions as children under the age of 14 years.
Children less than 10 years old or less than age 14 without a safety certificate
May operate a snowmobile only on lands owned or leased by their parent or guardian.

The next meeting will be MONDAY, DECEMBER 30, 2024, 7:30 p.m. at the Coal Yard, DeRuyter. Attending meetings is a great way to meet new people and get involved!
We will sign up new members and accept membership renewals.

Meetings are held the last Wednesday of each month (except May, June, July and adjusted around holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, vacations, and Coal Yard availability) at the Coal Yard, 720 Railroad St., DeRuyter, NY, 7:30 p.m. Hope to see you there!
